I'm also a huge fan of Paperback Swap. I get most of my books through them, the only thing is sometimes you can't find the new releases there. But, they are the first place I check and I am 90% successful with finding what I want. If you're not familiar with PPS, it's an excellent program where you can post books that you don't read any longer and when someone requests one of your books you simply print out the shipping label and stick it in the mailbox. Once your book is received you get a credit and can then choose from hundreds of thousands of titles to order for yourself. It's an awesome program!
I also signed up for GoodReads. I'm still learning how to use it but am thankful for the recommendations from friends. I'm always weary about buying a book that hasn't been recommended, so I love checking out all the books that my friends have enjoyed. If you're a member, look me up (link to my profile above)!
I just finished reading Little Women again, thanks to Mimi who had some incredible discussion questions and I learned so much from reading others comments on the book.
I also recently read Jane Austen Ruined My Life by Beth Pattillo. Most of you know by now that Jane & I have a very special relationship and I am very particular about what books I read that have her name on them. This book however was incredible! I really, really enjoyed it and it made me want to travel across the pond and visit all of the Jane Austen sites. I felt like I was there experiencing these things with her. She accurately blends historical and biographical information with a modern-day love story. A must-read for anyone who admires Jane Austen...
The Help by Kathryn Stockett was another book that I highly recommend. Set in time of the civil rights movements, this book takes a closer look at the relationship between negro maids and their white mistresses. It's an inspiring tale of going against the tide to defend what you believe in and shows you that love between friends knows no color...
I now have my nose in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, thanks to Emma. I'm only on page 41 but can say that this will definitely end up being a favorite. It's so interesting to see how people's lives were affected by the German Occupation and I'm also enjoying learning about the Channel Islands. I also love reading books written in letter or journal format. So far, it's a fantastic read...
What are you reading?

I just finished 'Shanghai Girls' which was very good, and I have 'Little Women' on my book shelf to read next. I've never read it before! Eva (who's almost 6!!!) said she wants to read it, too, but I think we'll wait until she's a bit older. We're also reading the Samantha books together (American Girl). I LOVE to read!
Try reading Cutting for Stone. I'm finishing it up and love it. (BTW, don't forget your local public library as a great FREE resource for books.)
I am looking forward to the Help AND Potato Peel one...such a funny title!
Yesterday a friend came over and gave me "Common Sense" by Glenn Beck, a conservative!
I love reading, but the past few years seems like I've read mostly magazines, now that the girls are older, I can read books!!! I am SO disappointed that "The Handmaiden" is not going to continue to be published...it was perfect to take while the girls are in karate or piano lessons.
Even if you've already finished Potato Peel, you need to listen to that one. Each character gets their own narrator, and it was so much easier to keep track of them all in their own voice. I really enjoyed reading the book, but I LOVED listening to it.
